Day 01- Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Arrival at Paro International Airport Receive a warm welcome and begin your journey. Drive to Thimphu Approximately 1.5-hour drive from Paro. Check-in at Hotel, Relax and acclimate to the altitude.

Memorial Chorten – A stupa in Thimphu, Bhutan, built in memory of the third King, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, serving as a place of daily worship and meditation for locals.

Buddha Dordenma – A massive 169-foot bronze statue of Buddha located on a hilltop overlooking Thimphu, offering panoramic views and housing thousands of smaller Buddha statues.

Tashichho Dzong – A grand fortress and monastery in Thimphu, serving as the seat of the Bhutanese government and the central monastic body, known for its stunning architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens.

Day 02- Thimphu Sightseeing

National Library – Located in Thimphu, this library preserves Bhutan’s ancient manuscripts and texts, including important Buddhist scriptures and historical documents.

Institute for Zorig Chusum – Also in Thimphu, this institution teaches Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts, such as painting, sculpture, and weaving, helping to preserve the country’s cultural heritage.

Folk Heritage Museum – Situated in Thimphu, this museum offers insights into traditional Bhutanese rural life, showcasing artifacts, tools, and household items from the past.

Changangkha Lhakhang – A revered temple in Thimphu, known for its spiritual significance and its association with local traditions, particularly for the birth of children.

Day 03- Thimphu to Punakha

Drive to Punakha – About 2.5-hour drive.

Dochula Pass – A scenic mountain pass at 3,100 meters, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas and featuring 108 chortens (stupas) built in memory of Bhutanese soldiers.

Punakha Dzong – A majestic fortress located at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, renowned for its intricate architecture and vibrant religious ceremonies.

Chimi Lhakhang – A temple dedicated to Drukpa Kunley, the “Divine Madman,” known for its fertility blessings and unique religious traditions.

Day 04- Punakha to Paro

Drive back to Paro – Around 4-hour drive.

Rinpung Dzong – A historic fortress and monastery in Paro, Bhutan, known for its stunning architecture and beautiful murals, serving as both a religious and administrative center.

National Museum – Housed in the Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower in Paro, this museum showcases Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage, including art, artifacts, and historical exhibits.

Kyichu Lhakhang – One of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, located in Paro, believed to date back to the 7th century and is renowned for its spiritual significance and beautiful architecture.

Day 05- Paro Sightseeing

Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang) – An iconic cliffside monastery perched on a rock face 900 meters above the Paro Valley, known for its breathtaking views and spiritual significance.

Drukgyel Dzong – A historic fortress now in ruins, located in the Paro district, originally built to commemorate Bhutan’s victory over Tibetan invaders, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

Paro Town – A charming town in Bhutan known for its traditional architecture, bustling market, and as a hub for exploring the region’s cultural and historical sites.

Day 06- Departure
