Your journey begins with a drive from Haridwar to Barkot, a small town en route to Yamunotri. After an early breakfast, drive to Janki Chatti, the base point for the trek to Yamunotri, the first of the Char Dhams. The trek is about 6 kilometers and can be undertaken either on foot or by hiring a pony or a palanquin. The trek route is scenic, with the gushing Yamuna River flowing alongside. Upon reaching Yamunotri, visit the Yamunotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, and take a holy dip in the thermal springs of Surya Kund before performing puja. After the darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and drive to Barkot for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Uttarkashi, a town nestled on the banks of the Bhagirathi River and home to numerous temples and ashrams. On the way, enjoy the picturesque landscape of the Garhwal region. Upon arrival in Uttarkashi, check in to your hotel. In the evening, visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most revered temples in the region. You can also explore other local attractions before retiring for the night.
Today, you’ll embark on a drive to Gangotri, the source of the Ganges River and one of the four Char Dhams. The drive takes you through Harsil, a beautiful valley known for its natural beauty and apple orchards. Upon reaching Gangotri, take a dip in the sacred waters of the Bhagirathi River and visit the Gangotri Temple. After offering your prayers, explore the serene surroundings before driving back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and start your journey towards Guptkashi, Phata, or Ukhimath, depending on your accommodation. This is a long drive through the mountainous terrain, offering stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and dense forests. Guptkashi is a significant stopover on the way to Kedarnath and is home to the ancient Vishwanath Temple and the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax for the night.
Today marks the most challenging yet rewarding part of your yatra. After an early breakfast, drive to Sonprayag, where you’ll start your journey to Kedarnath. A short drive will take you to Gaurikund, the base for the trek to Kedarnath. The trek is approximately 16 kilometers, and you can either walk or hire a pony or palanquin. The route is steep but offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Upon reaching Kedarnath, check in to your accommodation. In the evening, visit the Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and a major pilgrimage site, and attend the evening aarti. Overnight stay in Kedarnath.
After the morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple, begin your descent back to Gaurikund. The trek down is easier and offers a chance to reflect on the spiritual experience. Once you reach Gaurikund, drive back to your hotel in Guptkashi, Phata, or Ukhimath for a well-deserved rest.
Post breakfast, check out and drive to Badrinath, the last of the Char Dhams. The journey takes you through some of the most scenic landscapes in the Garhwal region, including the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers at Rudraprayag. You may stop at Joshimath, a winter seat of Lord Badri, for a brief visit before continuing to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and rest. In the evening, visit the Badrinath Temple and attend the evening aarti. Explore the local area before retiring for the night.
In the morning, visit the Badrinath Temple for the darshan of Lord Vishnu. After the darshan, explore nearby attractions such as the Tapt Kund (hot springs), Brahma Kapal (a significant site for ancestral rituals), and Mana Villageextra charge for sightseeing , the last village before the Indo-Tibetan border. After completing your visit, drive back to Rudraprayag, a town known for its spiritual significance and the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers.
